Replacement Quartz Sleeves (Glass Tube) for Zapp Pure Ultraviolet Water Clarifiers

If water gets into the electrical parts of the UV filter this will short out the ballast (aka Power Supply or Transformer).  The piece that protects the lamp and electrical from water is the quartz sleeve.  Quartz Sleeves cannot have any type of crack or break in them or they will not protect your lamp and transformer.  If your ballast or lamp blows be sure to check the quartz sleeve and replace it before replacing the ballast or lamp.

Winter Protection:  It is best to bring inside all glass parts (ie. the lamp and quartz sleeve) during freezing temps.  If water is allowed to freeze inside the UV this will damage the quartz sleeve and lamp.
