Zapp Pure Stainless Steel Ultraviolet Water Clarifiers for Large Ponds 

Zap the green right out of your pond water with a Zapp Pure high-quality stainless steel ultraviolet water clarifier / sterilizer.  Designed for durability and performance, the Zapp Pure is made of 316 stainless steel with a water tight ballast box that makes it easy to maintain.  The best thing about the Zapp Pure is that you get excellent performance for an extremely reasonable price.  That's why the Pond Doc will often recommend this particular UV light for koi ponds, goldfish ponds and water gardens larger than 8500 gallons. 

It has a 4" vessel - perfect for keeping the water close enough to the ultraviolet rays to be most efficient while allowing enough water to pass to be effective.  The 2" ports are spaced at either end of the unit giving the water optimum time over the UV rays and each port is equipped with quick disconnect unions.  

The Zapp Pure features an adjustable pressure switch inside that shuts off the UV automatically when the water flow stops.  This saves having to remember to turn it off whenever turning off the pump and saves on electricity.  Each model comes with a 12 foot cord but can be special ordered with whatever length cord you need.  The Zapp Pure can be installed either horizontally or vertically allowing flexibility with installation.  The lamp and quartz sleeves are easy to change out and the electronic ballast is long-lasting.

All the controls are located inside the water-tight ballast box that sits on top of the unit.  The lamp is removed by simply disconnecting the connector (inside the box) and pulling the lamp up and out of the vessel.  The quartz sleeve is just as easy to change out.

* We do not share most manufacturer's ratings on product.  Through experience we know that many are over-blown (to say the least).  Pond Doc's Ratings are closest to reality.  Remember also that these ratings are for shadier conditions and you want to make sure if you are borderline and have a lot of sun to go up to the next size.
